Urinary incontinence is a common but under-reported and under-treated condition in men and women. This course is designed to equip the physical therapist who is not a pelvic health specialist with tools to identify and address urinary incontinence across a variety of patient populations.
About the Presenter
Wendy M. Featherstone, PT, DPT earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Russell Sage College in 1981, and her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Montana in 2011. She has specialized in pelvic and gender health concerns since 1988, serving on the Board of Directors of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health as Vice President and President. In January of 2004 she opened her private practice, Specialty Physical Therapy, and continues to enjoy her work as a practice owner and clinician. She is a frequent guest lecturer on the topic of male and female pelvic and gender health for community groups and physical therapy programs. She resides in Rochester, NY.
